Our Philosophy “in protection, a hero may rise to the occasion; a professional will already be there.”
Executive protection professionals often joke among themselves about the “bullet catchers” -- grimacing “muscle,” hiding behind sunglasses and acting as a menacing centurion. Unfortunately, many of these men lack specialized training and experience, and may not be properly licensed to provide the security they offer. They embody Hollywood’s idea of bodyguards – and they often aggressively pursue confrontation instead of quietly neutralizing it. “Muscle” can become a legal or public relations nightmare – and liability - to their clients and the corporations that hire them.
The art of executive protection is not an imposing presence and emboldened enforcer. It’s an awareness of situations, a stance of security and a realistic assessment of risk rolled into a calm, well-trained and confident agent.
Quality executive protection encompasses sensitivity for privacy, sophistication, and unobtrusiveness that are absolutely essential to the client. A skilled professional will control the environment in order to detect and defuse threats –many unseen -- to the client, and then melt back into the background of the corporate boardroom, a public restaurant, or even the tight confines of an aircraft or automobile.
In the course of attending to the client’s security, a professional agent will insure that every detail concerning the daily agenda, travel, and even recreation is properly analyzed and coordinated. Nothing is left to chance or routine – routine can be dangerous. The client will move from event to event, seamlessly, effortlessly, and securely within an invisible protective bubble. The agent will be thinking two or three moves ahead, finding ways to streamline the client’s movement, adjusting the security posture, anticipating situations and recognizing threats.
Safeguard time by planning ahead. A professional protection agent can often save the client one to two hours a day -- by ensuring travel arrangements are in-place, destinations are confirmed, potential delays are identified and avoided. In a week’s time, a busy executive could gain a full workday of productivity.
The relationship between client and protective agent is like no other. A complex choreography is created -- the client dictates the agenda and the agent mandates how it will be carried out.
Because of this close working relationship, both the client and the agent must have complete confidence in each other.
